A lawsuit has been filed against Oracle America in the USA because the company is alleged to have improperly collected, analysed and evaluated over 5 billion pieces of data from internet users using tracking technologies.
The Federal Data Protection Commissioner (FDPC) is currently examining
- the allegations for a possible violation of the personal rights of Swiss citizens
- the extent to which website operators and app providers from Switzerland violate the data protection principles of the FADP by integrating tracking technologies
